(bryanism Repost on Animal Communication: For the Girl, A Mixed Blessing) Some Animal Readings Are A Mixed Blessing I was volunteering at another humane society fundraiser, when a young family approached at the urging of the little girl who made some reference to the Pet Psychic on the Animal Channel, compelling her dad, mom, and dog to come along, as if this was all her idea. The parents seemed a little skeptical but were open to this, so I made a mental note to draw from the dog themes that made good sense to them (the parents). To engage, I typically ask humans, if they have a question to ask, applying a little of my own bias in favor of seeing what the dog wants to say instead, and humans usually comply, which actually ends up making for a more enriched interaction, especially because animals aren't frivolous and are genuinely honest, interested and conscious of their human companions' experience, always looking for an opportunity to assist in their matters across the board. (continued in comments) We were outdoors and I wanted to block out all the surrounding activity, so I closed my eyes first. I saw an old swing set in the backyard, so I opened one eye and asked if they lived in a house with a swing set in the backyard. The husband informed that they actually lived in an apartment building, which happens to have a swing set out back. "Okay," I said squinting down at the dog sending a message, "..now, what about that swing set?" As I and the dog mentally walked around this unstable contraption, it finally dawned on me what the concern was, which is when I opened both eyes and turned toward the little girl to say, "Your dog wants you to be careful on that swing set." Suddenly the girl's mom and dad were believers (in animal communication), shifting focus on their daughter too, chiming in unison, "SEE? EVEN THE DOG WANTS YOU TO BE CAREFUL ON THAT OLD SWING SET!!!" The girl rolled her eyes, before walking away, but the parents were vindicated in that the dog agreed with them, and although the girl definitely proved her point that animal communication is real; for her, the reading was definitely a mixed blessing!
