(bryanism Repost on: Intuitive Experiences --> Dreams Intepretations Are Always Personal) I was sitting at a cafe table right outside my favorite coffee house sipping a vanilla soy latte, when one of the baristas came out and sat down with me. He and I were familiar strangers that had never conversed, and so I wondered, "Why now?" He didn't hesistate talking because he was actually on break, possibly hoping that I was still sitting outdoors the first free moment he could get. He situated himself and got acquainted by saying, "Hi, your name is Bryan right?" I responded, "Yes, and you're Leo. Is that correct?" (continued in comments) He perked up, relieved that I knew his name, and so he continued, "People say you're good at dream interpretation." I thought to myself, "I've never intepreted a dream for anyone here, so I take that to mean, folks think I'm intuitive," yet I decided not to contradict and generally admitted, "Yeah, I do that too. What can I do for you?" "Good," he said sitting straight up in his chair with a more open posture. "I've been troubled by this dream I had a couple nights, and I can't shake it." he said. "What's it about?" I queried. He continued, "I don't know if you know that I started a (music) band? "I do now," I cajoled. "Well, in this dream I and the other band members were practicing some (music) numbers, when suddenly a huge Lion pounced in from no where going after my band members with the intent to kill and devour, which he did. I was standing off from the group horified to see each be eaten, one by one." "Okay?" I encouraged "But just when it looked like he was coming for me, he stopped and literally devoured himself. Now this was a sight more horrific than the first. I'd appreciate it if you share some insight." Watching the dream play out in my head once again, I began clarifying, "The Lion represents a predator whose instinct is to ravenously kill, and without a second thought." "Yes, and?" he scooted his chair closer to the cafe table. "This means we all have the same instinct, even humans, and although we don't have to act that way, often times we do," I offered. For a moment, I stopped intentionally looking him straight into the eye while continuing. "The dream means that your bandmembers feel vulnerable, even preyed upon. It appears a particular band member is 'consumed,' so to speak, with control and domination, to the extent that it inevitably destroys the band; and what's ironic is that this same ravenous behavior eventually turns on the one harboring this lack of self-control, a kind of self-destruction. if you will" He paused, scratching his chin, "Man if that happens, then my hopes and dreams as a musician would be dashed." I turned my chair a little more to face him in agreement, "Yes, I'm sure it would be a huge disappointment," which is when I asked, "Do you know who that might be?" He answered, "No, I haven't a clue!" looking me dead in the eye baddazled and dazed, as if he'd find the answer there, continuing "Who is it; please tell me, so I can nip this in the bud!" I concluded, "LEO..... the LION is YOU!" and with that he jumped up and scurried along, shocked at my answer and even moreso by his (very personal) self-realization.
