(bryanism on: Intuitive Experiences --> I Believe in You) "I Believe in You" Back in the day, when giving readings alone opened so many doors into living a mystical life, I used to get permission from local coffee house owners to set up shop and provide readings ever so often; even though I was keenly aware of the controversy it stirred-up in my sleepy bedroom town, smack in the bible-belt midwest, but still the cost benefit was obvious, considering what I had experienced so far. I decided to set-up a schedule with the coffee house down the street. I had chosen my table in the coffee house, a spot where I could see who entered as well as how folks were reacting to my make-shift table sign, when a young woman in her mid-twenties came in. She was mentally preoccupied and barely acknowledged me, while ordering her coffee. She ended up choosing a table not too far from my own, and after she was situated, I inadvertantly took note just as I would with most passers-by in a public setting, except I also got a message from above or within that something was eating away at her, which is when I asked my and her guides if I could chat with her about it (for free). After getting the "green-light" we caught eyes, as I carefully manuevered in a way that let her know I was coming to sit with her, and interestingly, she began shifting her posture as a non-verbal cue to receive me. So, I pulled up a chair at her table and proceeded to ask, "May I offer a suggestion?" She flashed back an "are you going to read me? - this is going to be interesting" smile as she pushed her books aside in giving full attention. I started talking about a theme for a (graduate-level) thesis by explaining how people would definitely benefit from the unique point of view she was considering, even suggesting that she develop a real program and also write a grant proposal on the very same basis, while receiving private sponsorship. I reassured that she was a pioneer and I was honored to affirm the mission. Her whole disposition transformed as soon as she self-realized that her master's thesis was basis for a program the whole world anticipted. After a moment of contemplative silence, she finally responded, first with a sigh of relief, as if refreshed from seeing the burdened she carried as a innovative gift from her heart of heart's true purpose, "Well, you've certainly hit the nail on the head," as if she was ready to validate something "bigger" than this coincidental conversation/meeting. So, I said, "This was for free, by the way, and have you ever experienced a psychic reading before?" "No," and before she followed up her answer I interupted, "..so, do you believe or had you believed in psychics before?" With an open smile, not looking directly at me, but into her own mind she answered, "No, this is the first time I had a reading. And to answer the second question: no I never believed in psychics, and in fact, I still don't -- but I believe in you."
